The annual field trip to the Denver Art Museum was a great time!

 

Portraits

Advanced students experiment with different approaches to create interesting, large scale portraits.

Watercolor Paintings

Drawing & Painting students begin their 

first painting of the school year by working in watercolor.

Cartoon Illustration

 

Art & Craft students study cartoon illustration 

and styles and design themselves as a cartoon characters.

Space & Shape

Art & Craft students spent their first semester of the 2011-2012 school year studying and exploring the design elements of SPACE and SHAPE.  Students took time to consider negative and positive space and how they can be used to create an interesting composition while working with paper cuts, spray paint stencils and printmaking.  Students were challenged with the need to closely consider these methods and engineer their work correctly to insure the final product is accurate and successful.
